LA28 spreads 49 competition venues across 25 zones, from Pasadena to Oklahoma City to a stadium in Queens. Every one of them is in the United States, so a single US eSIM covers your whole Games. Install it before you fly and land already online.
July 14 – 30, 2028
The Opening Ceremony is split across the LA Memorial Coliseum and 2028 Stadium in Inglewood, an Olympic first. The Coliseum takes the Closing Ceremony on its own.
August 15 – 27, 2028
Los Angeles hosts the Paralympic Games for the first time. The Opening Ceremony is at 2028 Stadium, the Closing Ceremony at the Coliseum.
Dates as announced by LA28. 36 Olympic and 23 Paralympic sports are on the programme.
The 2026 World Cup crossed three countries and needed a plan for each. LA28 stays inside one. Oklahoma City, Nashville, Columbus, St. Louis, New York, San José, San Diego and every venue in Southern California share a single country, so one US plan follows you the whole way.
Full step-by-step setupPick a US plan sized for your trip, wait for the email saying your QR code is ready, then install the profile over home Wi-Fi. It stays dormant until you land.
Land at LAX, or Will Rogers World in Oklahoma City, and set the Lotsotravel eSIM as your active data line in Settings. That is the whole setup.
Leave your home SIM on for calls, texts and 2FA codes, with its data roaming switched off so it stays clear of US networks. WhatsApp and FaceTime run over the eSIM.
Session days run on a hundred small requests: a mobile ticket at the gate, live transit arrivals, a map open the whole way there and back, group chats, and a few clips after a final.
LA28 groups its venues into zones so fans can plan sessions by proximity. All 49 competition venues, with the sports at each, transcribed from LA28's venue pages.
Eighteen zones from Pasadena to San Clemente. Most fans will only ever see three or four of them.

Metro's plan is built on extra bus service, park-and-ride hubs and venue shuttles rather than parking lots. Live arrivals, mobile fare payment and rerouting all run off your phone, which is exactly why the data line matters more here than at a stadium you can walk to.
Metro's 2028 Games planWhere the venues actually are, how you get to them, and what your phone will be doing all day.
Yes. Every LA28 competition venue is in the United States, including the Oklahoma City venues and all six football cities, so a single US eSIM covers the lot. This is the opposite of the 2026 World Cup, where the tournament crossed three countries and needed a separate plan for each.
The Olympic Games run from the Opening Ceremony on July 14, 2028 to the Closing Ceremony on July 30, 2028. The Paralympic Games follow from August 15 to August 27, 2028. Both sets of dates are confirmed by LA28.
Budget 1 to 3 GB for a single session day, once you add mobile tickets, transit apps, maps, group chats and a few clips. Across a week of multiple sessions, 5 to 10 GB is the common pick, and a two-week trip that touches several zones is more comfortable on 20 GB or an unlimited plan.
Buy it a week or two before you fly. Validity starts counting the moment the plan activates on arrival, so an early purchase burns days you have paid for. The job for today is checking that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked, because that is the part that takes time to sort out.
Metro is planning a transit-first Games, with extra bus service, park-and-ride hubs and shuttles to venues. All of that is easier with a working data line for live arrivals and mobile fare payment. Underground sections of the Metro rail network can drop signal, so download your route while you are still above ground.
Through the website. You buy the plan online and get an email when your QR code is ready to view and install there. WhatsApp and email handle support questions, while the code itself always lives on the website. The whole flow runs in a browser.
Install a US eSIM over home Wi-Fi before you leave and it works from LAX to the Rose Bowl to Oklahoma City on the same line.
