The price is real. Finding it is the catch

We checked eSIMGo-issued Europe listings on mobimatter.com on 2026-08-11, because they were the lowest per-GB Europe options visible at the time:

Straight talk: at these specific listings, MobiMatter is cheaper than us, sometimes by close to half. If price-per-GB on Europe is the entire decision, this table is the answer.

Now the part that doesn't fit in a table. Search "Europe eSIM" on MobiMatter and you won't see one price, you'll see a shelf of them. In the same session we saw 10GB Europe listings ranging from roughly $1.00 to $2.00 per GB depending on which of MobiMatter's 30-plus issuers filed the listing, all shelved under the same "Europe" heading, all claiming similar coverage. The $9.99 figure above is the good listing. It is not the only listing, and it is not necessarily the one that loads first. If you don't sort by price-per-GB before checkout, you can easily end up paying Lotsotravel's price or more, on a marketplace whose entire pitch is being cheaper.

Coverage that depends on who you land on

MobiMatter's combined footprint, 190+ countries pooled across its issuers, is on par with ours on paper. In practice, "MobiMatter coverage" in any one country is really "whichever issuer's listing you bought, in that country." Two Europe listings claiming the same countries can be routing through different local carrier partnerships underneath, with different 5G access and different real-world performance, because they're different products from different companies that both happen to be sold on the same page.

We're not claiming Lotsotravel's carrier relationships are uniformly better; we contract with multiple local partners per country too, same as most providers in this category. We don't have anything that competes with that.
