The first wave of Portimão 2027 tickets is gone. Formula 1 returns to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on 18 to 20 June 2027 (Formula 1), and on 1 November 2026 the promoter's ticket page carried one banner: Phase 1 sold out, grandstands and general admission.
Key takeaways
- Sales opened on 21 September 2026 as the first of four planned phases.
- Phase 1 grandstands and general admission are sold out. No date yet for the next phase.
- Promoter hospitality is still listed, from a Turn 15 terrace up to private suites.
- The F1 store shows waitlists for general admission and hospitality.
How Phase 1 sold
The Portugal Post reported on 19 September 2026 that sales would open on 21 September through portugalf1gp.com, and that this would be the first of four phases. Phase 1 covered three-day general admission, reserved grandstand seats and hospitality.
Demand outran it quickly. In a follow-up on 25 September, the paper said the sale had run through a digital waiting room on the WeBook platform, that nearly one million people had registered on the waiting list beforehand, and that by 22 September only Bancada Portimão still had tickets outside hotel packages. The event's communications team told the paper that later phases may bring day tickets and other price tiers, without confirming either.
There was no 2026 Portuguese Grand Prix to compare against. Formula 1 announced the return in December 2025 as a two-year deal for 2027 and 2028, with Parkalgar as promoter. The circuit last held a Grand Prix in 2021.
What you can still buy
Hospitality. The promoter's hospitality page still had a "Book now" button for 2027. The options it lists:
- Terrace at T15, an outdoor plaza at Turn 15 with Portuguese street food.
- Varanda at T1, a new viewing terrace over Turn 1. The page notes that it does not include a grandstand ticket.
- Algarve Trackside Lounge, above the Main Stand.
- Victory Lounge at The Tower, across the ground and first floors of the Tower.
- Start/Finish Line Suites and Tower private suites for 22 or 28 guests.
- Champions Club, on the Tower's third floor, with a grid walk, trophy photo and guided F1 paddock tour.
No prices appear on that page.
F1 Experiences. Its 2027 Portimão page lists three packages without prices: Starter and Hero, both Thursday to Sunday with a pit lane walk and track tour, and Champions Club, Friday to Sunday with a grid walk and paddock tour.
Travel packages. The promoter's home page also sells packages that bundle tickets with hotel nights and shuttles. The Portugal Post's 22 September count of remaining seats left out those sold inside hotel packages.
Where to wait for Phase 2
- The F1 store waitlist for general admission, which promises pre-sale access before tickets reach the public, and a separate hospitality waitlist.
- The promoter's newsletter, signed up from portugalf1gp.com, which promises news of "ticket releases".
Our take: join both. With nearly a million people registered before Phase 1, a waiting room is likely again, and the F1 store waitlist costs nothing. Our presales guide explains how these waitlists compare with deposits.
The circuit and your phone
The promoter describes a 4,684 m lap with 16 corners near the coast at Portimão, famous for its rollercoaster climbs and drops. A Europe eSIM covers Portugal. At VIP prices checked on 1 November 2026, 5GB for 5 days is $4.95, and the Europe 10GB Unlimited plan for 5 days is $6.95 (2GB a day at full speed, then 128 kbps until the next day).
Our take: if you are also going to Silverstone two weeks later, a 30-day Europe plan covers both races, since the UK is on the same plan. Our British GP 2027 tickets guide has that sale, and the F1 2027 on-sale dates hub will change when Portimão names its next phase.
Algarve in June?
A Europe eSIM covers Portugal and 32 more countries, so Faro, Portimão and the next race are on one plan. Plans from $4.95 USD.

Methodology
How we did this comparison
Read on portugalf1gp.com, the Formula 1 ticket store and F1 Experiences on 1 November 2026. The promoter's pages show prices converted to the visitor's local currency, so we quote no euro prices from them; the sale dates and phase structure come from The Portugal Post's reports of 19 and 25 September 2026. We do not link resale sites.
