The 2027 Chinese Grand Prix has no on-sale date yet. Formula 1 lists it for 16 to 18 April 2027, round 5 on the calendar, and on 1 November 2026 the F1 ticket store offered only "Join the waitlist". The promoter, Juss Sports, had posted nothing about 2027 on its Grand Prix page.
Key takeaways
- Not on sale. No 2027 date or price from the promoter or Formula 1.
- The last two sales opened in mid-December, about three months before the race.
- 2026 tickets ran from 330 to 42,800 yuan and every category sold out.
- F1 Experiences 2027 packages are already sold out.
How the last two sales ran
Shanghai has sold late compared with most races, and fast:
- 2025 race: sales opened at noon on 18 December 2024, through the Juss Sports app, its WeChat and Alipay mini programs, and an overseas site for international fans.
- 2026 race: sales opened at 11:00 on 11 December 2025, again on the Juss Sports app and mini programs. Formula 1 confirmed the launch the same day.
Both of those races were in March. The 2027 race is a month later, so the 2026 timing is a guide, not a promise.
What 2026 tickets cost
The Paper put the 2026 range at 330 to 42,800 yuan, with a 42,800 yuan paddock ticket at the top; the list also covers grandstand, grass-area, platinum and cheering-zone tickets and hotel packages. Grandstand A Platinum, Grandstand E and Grandstands C, F and J sold three-day tickets only; the other grandstands sold single days as well.
Demand held up despite a price rise. The Shanghai government reported that all categories sold out within three months of the December release, even though prices were about 10% higher than the year before. No 2027 prices have been published.
Our take: join the F1 store waitlist now, and install the Juss Sports app before December, because the promoter's own channels opened first in both of the last two years.
Passport registration
The F1 store's general admission waitlist promises presale access and warns that "all tickets require full passport details to be registered several weeks before the event". Entry is by real name. At the 2026 race, the Shanghai government's spectator guide sent passport holders to manual verification desks before the facial-recognition gates, so bring the passport you bought with.
Hospitality
- F1 Experiences says its 2027 packages are already sold out, with a call-back list if more are released.
- F1 Hospitality runs a waitlist for the Paddock Club and Gordon Ramsay at the F1 Paddock. Packages are still to be announced.
Our hospitality guide explains the tiers, and the presales guide covers the waitlists.
Getting to the circuit
Metro Line 11 runs straight to Shanghai International Circuit station. The F1 store puts the trip from central Shanghai at about 45 to 50 minutes, and the government's 2026 guide recommends it to avoid traffic around Jiading.
Our China eSIM starts at $4.95 for 5GB over 5 days. Its data routes out through Singapore, so Google Maps, WhatsApp and Instagram work without a VPN, which helps when you are looking up Line 11 on race morning. Visa rules for April 2027 had not been confirmed when we checked. Our China visa-free 2027 guide tracks them, and the F1 2027 on-sale dates hub will be updated when Shanghai sets a date.

How we did this comparison
Read on jussevent.com, english.shanghai.gov.cn, formula1.com, the Formula 1 ticket store and F1 Experiences on 1 November 2026, and translated from Chinese where needed. The 2026 price range comes from The Paper because the Shanghai government's price tables are published as images. Some third-party sites still list the 2027 race in March; we used Formula 1's date of 16 to 18 April. We do not link resale sites.
